Chris Paul trolled for standing on tippy-toes during jersey swap with Wemby
Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul was trolled online for standing on his tippy-toes while swapping jerseys with San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama after Friday night's preseason finale at Chase Center ahead of the 2023 NBA season.
Wembanyama, 19, stands at 7-foot-3, while Paul is only six feet tall on a good day. Standing on his toes gave the veteran a few more inches for the photo.
Fans on social media were quick to point out Paul's feet in the picture and video shared by X (Twitter) user @ShaynaRubin.
Many poked fun at the moment by comparing Paul to wrestler Rey Mysterio standing next to WWE legend Big Show.
Victor Wembanyama is a problem
It's unclear who asked for the jersey swap, but Wemby clearly admires Paul and were both seen exchanging pleasantries after the final buzzer.
Paul, 38, is entering his 18th season in the league and first year with the Warriors. The first overall draft pick, meanwhile, is slated to win the Rookie of the Year award.
Warriors start the season Tuesday at home against the Phoenix Suns and Spurs host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Wemby made Golden State look extra small in a game that started with him tipping off against Stephen Curry.
