CM Punk Reacts To Ashley Massaros Apparent Suicide

Publish date: 2024-05-11

Ashley Massaro sadly passed away last week and the pro wrestling world was stunned. Anyone who had the pleasure of being around her spoke about how wonderful of a person she was. Unfortunately, she apparently took her own life by hanging.

CM Punk got to know Massaro during their time in WWE and he commented to WMGM on Friday to discuss her sad passing. He also implored anyone out there who is going through dark times to seek out help.

“Tremendously sad way to go […] thoughts obviously go out to her family, especially her daughter.”

“It’s May. It’s Mental Health Month … if you’re depressed and things aren’t going your way, there’s no reason to feel alone.”

“Just reach out to somebody. Text a friend. Call somebody. There’s hotlines. There’s ways you can get help.”

This is an incredibly sad situation and our deepest condolences go out to all involved in this situation.

If you or any of your friends are struggling with depression, suicidal ideations or gestures please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
